CCAR Waterbury is located at 132 Grand St. – Floor 3, ring the bell for entry. Our Recovery Community Center supports all pathways of recovery. We welcome people seeking help and support from the disease of addiction as well as family, friends, allies, or anyone who wants to be educated about addiction and the possibilities of recovery.

All services are free of charge. Hours, contact information, and a digital calendar of virtual support meetings we offer via Zoom are all provided below.

Presenters will have 5 minutes to share their findings, followed by a poster session for the audience to learn more. Phil discusses his diagnosis of diffuse aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and his reflections on dealing with cancer for the second time, emphasizing his attempts to put affairs in order and contemplate the significance of life and the possibility of an afterlife. Jackie shares her story of being diagnosed with leukemia at 17, undergoing a bone marrow transplant, and facing various long-term side effects and subsequent cancer diagnoses. The conversation also explores their attitudes towards treatment decisions, the importance of self-care, and the support they've received from their community.
