CCAR hosts an essay contest annually in honor of Russ Wilson - a childhood friend of Executive Director, Phil Valentine and the CCAR Recovery Community at large.
The participants were instructed to write a 1500 word essay following this year's prompt, "Recovery in a Turbulent Time".
This years judges included Russ Wilson's siblings. Brothers Dan and Mike Wilson, as well as his sister, Cheryl Parrish judged the contest blindly, and thoughtfully chose one 1st place winner, and three 2nd place winners due to the caliber of entries.
Congratulations to our 2nd place winners (in no particular order):
* Lyndsey Cox of Okanogan County, Washington State
* Maura Nessan of Lansing, MI
* Danielle Levesque of West Haven, CT
Please congratulate the 1st place winner of the 5th Annual Russ Wilson Essay Contest, Meghann Perry of Bridgewater, MA with her award winning essay titled, "The Sand Shifts Under My Feet".
All of the winning essays are available to view at www.CCAR.us
