Volunteer at Recovery Walks!

We appreciate your interest in volunteering at CCAR's 23rd Annual Recovery Walks! coming to Bushnell Park in Hartford, CT on Saturday, September 28th from 11a to 3p.

To be considered for a volunteer role, please complete the form below. (CCAR Staff: Complete this form and you're in!)

Once selected, you will be notified via email on Wednesday, September 18th, with your job assignment and a Zoom invitation for a virtual informational meeting on Wednesday, September 25th.

We will do our best to grant everyone an official RWs! assignment. However, if you do not receive an email on the 18th...WE STILL NEED YOU THERE!!! Your unofficial assignment will be to help us put a face on recovery at CONNECTICUT'S BIGGEST RECOVERY CELEBRATION!

CCAR is providing transportation from our Recovery Community Center locations! Check out the bus schedule HERE.

Are you currently a CCAR Volunteer OR Staff Member? *

PLEASE NOTE: Only CCAR Volunteers who have been through our official Volunteer Orientation are being considered at this time. See your RCC Volunteer Manager for an Orientation schedule if you have not been through the process but are looking to volunteer at the event. Any other individuals or organizations looking to make arrangments for volunteerism must contact amy@ccar.us for approval.

Please select the time slot you are available the day of the walk: (check ALL that apply)

7 AM - 11 AM: SET UP
10 AM - 2 PM: FIRST SHIFT
12 PM - 4 PM: SECOND SHIFT
8 AM - 4 PM: ALL DAY

CCAR STAFF: Please note, all staff will be scheduled for an 8a-4p shift regardless of what is submitted on this form. Any changes or exceptions should be emailed directly to amy@ccar.us.

RESPONSIBILITY TO PEOPLE IN RECOVERY: The responsibility for personal recovery resides with the individual; understand that personal recovery comes before any CCAR activity (Recovery First!). Strive to ensure that people in recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction are treated with dignity and respect in their personal recovery process. Make an effort to see that CCAR empowers recovering people in their physical, emotional and spiritual growth and that CCAR provides opportunities for them to make significant contributions to themselves, their families and friends, their communities and our society. Work to represent all people in recovery, especially those who feel they have no voice. *

RESPONSIBILITY TO THE ORGANIZATION - Work under the overarching principles outlined in the CCAR vision and mission. Always build CCAR’s reputation and maintain its integrity.
