Manchester Recovery Community Center

*This Recovery Community Center is temporarily closed. If you are looking for resources please call the Center Manager, Cathy, at 860-670-1092 or visit one of our other Recovery Community Centers.*

The Manchester Recovery Community Center is located at 102 Norman Street – a location with a long history of supporting Recovery. Established as a meeting place for Alcoholics Anonymous in 1946, the Pathfinders club has operated at this location since. In 2019, CCAR, with the support of the Pathfinders club Board of Directors, opened a Recovery Community Center that provides multiple pathways-based, free recovery support services. CCAR Manchester provides weekday walk-in services from 8:30am – 4:30pm for recoverees, family, friends and allies that are seeking information, recovery support services, or an opportunity to give back through becoming a volunteer. Our Manchester Recovery Community center provides a welcoming environment to all interested in the power of Recovery, no matter where they are on their Recovery journey. Please come visit and find out how we can help you with your recovery today!

All services are free of charge. Some services or meetings may be temporarily postponed due to restrictions relating to COVID-19. We advise calling ahead to see what is being offered at each center. Hours, contact info, and a digital calendar of virtual support meetings we are offering via Zoom are all provided below.

Keith Sawyer, now part of CCAR's Board of Directors, is a longtime CCAR volunteer and a person in recovery. Keith also works as a Recovery Support Specialist. He joins this weeks guest host Michael Serrano, of La Recuperacion Importa podcast, to talk about his road to recovery, how volunteering at CCAR changed his life, his relationship with his father (a Harlem Globetrotter at the time) and the things he learned about himself along the way.
