Russ Wilson Essay Contest
Russ was a close, personal friend of CCAR and Executive Director Phil Valentine as well as an inspiration to so many within the recovery community. Unfortunately, Russ passed away suddenly June 28th 2014 at just 55 years old. To commemorate the loss of such a valued member of the recovery community, and to celebrate Russ’s passion for writing, CCAR sponsors this annual writing contest and reward authors with a cash prize in his honor. CCAR Annual Meeting
Each year CCAR’s Executive Director, Phillip Valentine, hosts an in-depth review of CCAR’s Annual Report Findings. At the event you can look forward to hearing live testimony from CCAR volunteers, learning more about CCAR’s future goals and objectives for the Recovery Community heading into the new year, celebrating the winner of the “Michael Askew Recovery Advocate of the Year Award” as well as remarks from special guest speakers and acknowledgements from the CCAR Board of Directors.
