The Bridgeport Recovery Community Center is a recovery oriented sanctuary anchored in the heart of the community, visible so local communities and people in recovery can actively put a positive face on recovery. CCAR Bridgeport opened its doors on August 12, 2006 and immediately began supporting the recovery community with recovery support services. The center has grown and now provides additional supports and initiatives to welcome anyone interested in recovery and to promote multiple pathways of recovery. As of 2018, the center now sees over 1,000 visits per month from recoverees and allies who are either in need of support services or just want to learn more about addiction recovery. Through it’s Recovery Community Centers, CCAR provides a variety of peer-to-peer recovery and educational support services that address the needs of people in recovery, family members, friends and allies.
All services are free of charge. Some services or meetings may be temporarily postponed due to restrictions relating to COVID-19. We advise calling ahead to see what is being offered at each center. Hours, contact info, and a digital calendar of virtual support meetings we are offering via Zoom are all provided below.
